User Onboarding from SAP HCM: Day One Ready Without IT Effort

A manufacturing company used SAP HCM as its leading HR system. When a new employee was created, IT had to be notified manually. That needed to change.

The Challenge

SAP HCM contained all relevant HR data – but IT only found out when someone submitted a ticket. Often too late. New employees arrived on day one without a working account.

We integrated SAP HCM so that a new employee automatically triggers a System Center Orchestrator (SCO) Runbook. The Runbook creates the user in Active Directory, sets all permissions, assigns licenses, and provisions the mailbox. By day one, everything is ready. No manual IT intervention.
