Warranty information in ITSM systems goes stale quickly. Maintaining it manually? Unrealistic with hundreds or thousands of assets. We solved this for a customer using DELL hardware and SCSM/Cireson.
Asset data in SCSM was outdated or incomplete. Warranty information was rarely updated. During support cases, nobody knew for certain whether a device was still under warranty.
We built an automation that regularly queries the DELL REST API and automatically updates warranty information in Cireson Asset Management. The sync runs daily. For newly captured assets, warranty data is retrieved immediately. No manual intervention required.
Warranty information is always current. Support decisions can be made faster. Manual maintenance effort is eliminated entirely.
