Challenge

Polytec employs a large number of external staff and consultants. A structured process for lifecycle management was missing: no regulated onboarding, no access control, no automatic deactivation of expired accounts.

Solution

Using the External User Management module of the au2mator portal, a complete lifecycle was implemented. Department heads and key users can request external users – upon approval, the user is automatically created with all required permissions. An internal manager is assigned and must regularly renew access (maximum 1 year). Without renewal, the system automatically deactivates the user. Additional permissions can be requested at any time.
